Terms of Use
Effective Date: June 30, 2026
These terms govern your use of Beyond Allowance, currently offered as a closed beta to invited families only.
Who can create an account
Only a parent or legal guardian may create a Beyond Allowance account. By creating an account, you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian of every child profile you add, and you consent to their use of the app under these terms and our Privacy Policy.
Beta status
Beyond Allowance is an early, unfinished product being tested with a small number of invited families. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Data may be reset during this testing period as the product is developed. Do not treat anything stored in the app during this beta period as permanent.
This is a simulation, not real money
Chores, allowance, savings interest, the family fund, loans, and the investment feature are all simulated within the app for educational purposes. Beyond Allowance does not move real money, does not connect to real bank accounts or brokerage accounts, and is not a bank, lender, or investment adviser. Nothing in the app constitutes real financial or investment advice. Any real-world payment of allowance between parent and child happens outside the app, at the parent's discretion.
Parental responsibility
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the app, for the accuracy of information entered, and for any decisions made based on the app's simulated features.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Beyond Allowance to enter false information about another family, attempt to access another family's data, reverse engineer the app, or use it for any purpose other than personal family use.
Intellectual property
The Beyond Allowance name, logo, and brand materials belong to Jordan Luster, pending assignment to Beyond Allowance LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without permission.
No warranty
Beyond Allowance is provided "as is" during this beta period, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beyond Allowance and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount paid to use it during the beta period, which is currently zero.
Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the beta at any time. You may stop using the app and request account deletion at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops. We will notify you of material changes.
